Q&A with Aimee Stauth of Step 13 Coaching

Tell us a little about your business.  How did you get started?  Who do you serve?

I got into teaching fitness in 2008 and discovered the desire to help people transform physically. When I went through my own personal struggles and the loss of the business I had been involved in for many years,

I started abusing alcohol to deal with my emotions. It was after hitting rock bottom that I realized a lot of inner work is needed to make a true transformation. I started working with a life coach and found the answers to a lot of questions I had been asking.

I became a certified life coach myself in 2018 and then combined that certification with my fitness and addiction recovery backgrounds to create Step 13 Coaching.

I serve those with a substance abuse background that have taken positive steps out of their active addiction. I like to say that I bridge the gap between a structured recovery program and the rest of the amazing life you were meant to live.

What is your favorite part about running your business?

Creating my own brand. I was involved in a lot of direct sales businesses over the years and although I loved interacting with people and helping them in any way I could, I always wished I was selling my own product, something I had created. Now I get to!

What advice would you give to the entrepreneur or small business owner who is just starting out?

Celebrate every win, even the little ones! They will give you encouragement and motivation to keep going when the hours get long. And, take breaks when you need them! (kind of like a new mom who should sleep when baby is sleeping!)

Had you ever used WordPress or Divi before setting up your effortless website kit?

Nope!

What was your favorite part about effortless website kit?

It was really out-of-the-box ready to use and made customization simple. Plus, the step-by-step tutorials have been incredibly valuable!

Where will we see you & your business in 5 years?

Hoping to be on Oprah or Ellen someday! I want to put a big dent in the addiction and substance abuse problem in this world. I want to stop the problem before it starts by helping people know their own inherent worth. That they are complete and lack nothing. That they don’t need drugs, alcohol, food, sex, accomplishments, or anything else to be complete.
